Too much woman

Too much woman
The words roll off his tongue
As if I'm not spiced quite right
He throws it out
Like one would say a dish has too much salt
Am I to be sorry for the fact that I have been marinaded in pain?
Turned over
Then left to soak
In self hatred and loneliness
That my flesh hung on to every man who would come close
To try and turn this bland piece of meat into something desirable

When you taste me,
I am full of the spices packaged in men
who couldn't make me feel whole
Some bitter
Some sweet
The kind of sweet that sticks to your teeth
And leaves you rotting in reasons he gave for walking away
